Critical Batch is the flagship bourbon of Chapline Distillery.  It is a two-grain bourbon, made from white
corn from South Texas and malted barley from the Texas panhandle.  This traditional yet rare mash bill
highlights the distinctive corn sweetness that made America fall in love with bourbon.

Critical Batch, like our other bourbons, is hand-made from scratch.  It is bottled at 110 proof, and every
bottle is single-barrel.
We use flavor-driven mashing, fermenting and distilling processes.  Our equipment is 100% Revere
copper.

Tasting notes:  Punchy fruit-forward aromas lead to a rich mouthfeel with spiced baked apple and
cinnamon, finishing elegantly with warmed and depth.

4 Distillery Tour Tickets

Tour Information

BENDT offers guided tours to the public on Saturday afternoons. Distillery tours are hosted by our in-house whiskey experts and include information on BENDT, whiskey history, the whiskey making process, and the impact of barrel aging. Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and includes a spirit tasting.

BENDT Tours offer a behind-the-scenes view into a fully operational whiskey distilled spirits plant (DSP). Please be sure to bring your valid government issued ID and dress for the elements. We operate in an industrial environment and outside of the check-in area, our facility is not climate controlled. Please use the restroom prior to your arrival, as our restrooms are quite a distance from our check-in area and require a team member escort.
