Black Walnut wood Carving of Jesus calming the storms
From the Creator of this masterpiece: "This Beautiful piece is made from thick black walnut edge joined. The finish is Boiled Linseed Oil that draws out the dark grains and highlights the polish in the piece. The piece is from a picture of Jesus calming the storms (Mark 4:39). The relief details are created by adding detail around the picture and accenting the areas that should be most prominent. This piece is 16” in diameter and was machine carved on my CNC router affectionally named Molly. The carving took 19 hours of continuous operation, and the process does not reveal itself until the last cut is finished and the saw dust is removed. This process continues to inspire me every time and makes the process of creating a new piece an adventure."
